Are You Ready for 2016?

Yep, it’s that time of year again.  2016. Are you ready for it?  Do you have a plan in place?  Have you set your goals? As you look back on 2015 did you have goals for this year, did you have a plan? Did you follow that plan?  Did you achieve those goals?

Here is a short list of the things you should be paying attention to as you look forward:

Have a Clear Target

If you are not crystal clear about the goal you want to achieve the Universe we live in simply can’t get you to where you want to go.  Rather than saying, I want more sales, be specific.  If you grossed $500,000 last year, and you want to see a 20% increase this year, your goal should be $600,000 in gross sales.

Have a Plan of Action

A goal without a plan is like wondering in the forest with a blindfold over your eyes, trying to find your way home.  Create your plan with specific real number derived from YOUR data and YOUR business.

Set a Date

A goal isn’t a goal without a deadline.  As you look over your plan, you should break your goal into annual 2016 and monthly deadlines.  This way you can judge if you are on track or off track.

Write It Down

To maximize the effectiveness of your goals, write them down and put them in a place you can access them every day.  If technological tools work for you, use them. If not, good old fashioned pen and paper work GREAT!

There’s something about the feel of writing your goals down on paper that makes them more real.

Read Them Daily

The best way to aid a goal into materializing is to read it to start and end every day throughout 2016. Tape your goals to the ceiling above your bed, on your bathroom mirror, on the wall across from toilet seat or on the visor in your car. Wherever you will see them daily, that’s where you must put them.

See Yourself in Possession of the Goal

Practice the power of affirmation.   The bottom line is, as a person who is driven by results, you will not do anything that doesn’t work for very long.  If you practice this, it will work. Take your written goals and visualize yourself possessing them.  Feel the emotions that come as you obtain what you are after.  Allow yourself to experience the joy that comes with accomplishing that goal.  This will tell the Universe that you flat out know what you want, and it should deliver it to you.
