As he puts it, “Back then, I had no money, but I had plenty of time.” His efforts paid off, and the firm began to grow.

As the Rossen Law Firm took off, Adam faced new challenges. He admits that 2021, when the firm tripled revenue and went from 6 to 13 people, was one of his most difficult years as a leader. “We grew so fast,” he recalls, “Now, that year was the year of I wish I had systems.” This rapid growth taught him valuable lessons about the importance of infrastructure and delegation.
Implementing EOS and Building a Strong Culture
To provide a framework for the firm’s growth, Adam turned to the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). Implementing EOS helped the team clarify their mission, vision, and values. It wasn’t always easy – the process led to some natural turnover. But ultimately, it allowed Adam to build a team that was fully aligned with the firm’s culture and goals.
Developing a Farm Team
One unique aspect of the Rossen Law Firm is its robust internship program. Each year, they bring on around 10 interns, immersing them in the firm’s culture and practices. It’s a win-win: the students gain invaluable experience, and the firm gets to identify top talent early on. “We haven’t had anybody yet that has done that,” Adam notes, referring to interns who have later joined as attorneys, “But I would love in 2 or 3 years when she has enough trials and everything to bring her on.”
Enjoying the Journey
As a self-described “trailblazer,” Adam has a tendency to always be looking ahead to the next goal. But he’s learning to slow down and enjoy the journey, especially now that he has a young family. His advice? Embrace being self-reflective. Keep hitting your goals, but don’t forget to celebrate the wins along the way.
